Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Sluke Closeout ("we," "us," "our") handles information in connection with Closeout (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect the email address you provide. This is used to identify your account and to communicate with you about your subscription.

Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not directly collect or store your card number or other payment details — Stripe collects and stores that information under its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. We do receive and store limited billing metadata from Stripe, such as your subscription status (trialing, active, canceled) and Stripe's internal customer and subscription identifiers, so we can determine whether your account has access to the Service.

Shift and tip-out data. Information you enter about staff, sales, and tips while using the app (names, dollar amounts, hours, calculated splits, and your saved tip-out rules) is stored on our servers, associated with your account, so it's available to you across devices. We treat this as your business data — we do not use it for any purpose beyond providing the Service to you (such as training other products, advertising, or sharing with third parties), and access is limited to what's needed to operate and troubleshoot the Service.

Technical information. Our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical data (such as IP address and timestamps) for security and operational purposes, consistent with normal web server logging.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to: - Provide and maintain your account and access to the Service. - Process billing through Stripe and keep your subscription status accurate. - Communicate with you about your account, such as billing issues or service updates. - Maintain the security and reliability of the Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your email for marketing unrelated to the Service without your consent.

3. Third parties we share information with

We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data retention

We retain your account information, billing status, and shift/tip-out data for as long as your account is active. Deleting your account via the app removes this data immediately and permanently from our systems.

5. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of the personal information we hold about you, including your account details, billing status, and shift/tip-out data. You can permanently delete your own account and all associated data at any time from within the app ("Delete account" in the app's menu), which also immediately cancels your subscription. For any other request, contact us at ashtynmueller56@gmail.com.

6. Cookies

We use a single, functional cookie to keep you logged in after you start your trial or subscription. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect account information, including transmitting data over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and storing login sessions using signed, httpOnly cookies. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for business use by restaurant staff and management and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date.
